The 6 pillars of Quality Assurance
At promodoro, quality is our top priority. But what does that mean for you? Our products are crafted not only to look great but also to maintain their quality, shape, color, and functionality over a long period. Each garment is the result of a meticulously planned process that ensures the highest standards are upheld. This process includes six essential steps, from the initial idea to long-term use:
1. Product Design and Development
This step lays the foundation for the final product quality. It sets the course to meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.
Material Selection:
promodoro uses only long-staple, combed cotton known for its high quality and durability. Long-staple fibers create a smoother, softer textile surface and enhance durability as well as the product‘s ability to be refined.
Functional Requirements:
Depending on the intended use, the material is developed to meet specific needs, which include durability, vibrant colors, excellent washability, and suitability for embellishment. Requirements like breathability, moisture regulation, and UV protection are also defined here.

2. Planning and Production
Once the development has been successfully achieved, and pre-production has been tested, the manufacturing process begins in certified facilities, adhering to the highest international standards in various areas of the production chain that include social standards, environmental protection, sustainable approach, quality & process management.
Planning Monitoring:
All production processes are closely monitored at each phase, from yarn delivery, knitting, dyeing, finishing, cut & sew, ironing, packing, shipping to ensure on time & smooth delivery at our warehouse.
3. Testing During Production
Throughout production, continuous quality checks are performed on site and in our own laboratory in Düsseldorf, to ensure that our high standards are maintained. Yarn is controlled and tested to make sure that it meets the required parameters before knitting. All knitted fabric is 100 % check before dyeing. After dyeing and finishing, all the fabric is tested on site and also in our own laboratory in Düsseldorf, which include just to name a few, shrinkage, color fastness, pilling, twisting. During the Cut & Sew stage, ironing, and packing, the dedicated quality team performs intensive quality inspections.

4. Incoming Goods Inspection
Once production reaches our warehouse, we start a full audit from the beginning. The audit includes the testing of all the parameters of the fabric as previously done but also a new final AQL 2.5 Standard audit. Special attention is also given to any potential damage that might occur during transport.
5. Final Inspection
Before a product is authorized to be shipped, a final quality inspection is conducted based on internationally recognized standard AQL 2.5. An essential standard in quality control that defines the tolerance in relation to the quality standard set by promodoro.

6. Regular Long-lasting Testing
To ensure the long-lasting quality of the products, promodoro conducts regular tests on already-produced items with Repeated Wash Tests. These tests simulate the long-term use of textiles by washing and drying the items multiple times over an extended period. This ensures that products maintain their quality, shape, color, and material quality even after many washes.
Durability Analysis:
The results of these tests feed back into research & product development to continuously improve textiles and provide customers with long-lasting, comfortable & sustainable clothing.
Conclusion:
Each stage of promodoro‘s quality assurance process is meticulously planned to ensure products meet the highest standards. From selecting materials to conducting long-term durability tests, every measure is taken to guarantee that the textiles are durable, resilient, and satisfy the needs of our customers.
